So I've re-watched a good number of the episodes Transformers G1 (the original cartoon), and one thing that bugged me as much as Optimus'es secret douchebaggery, is megatron's stupidity.
Megatron could have won in episode one when they first woke up. Since all the decepticons were revived first. How you may ask if you can't remember? they were in the same ship, autobots were still busted. he could have ordered the decepticons to just break the shit out of the autobots and spread the pieces out in the volcano mountain AWAY from the repair beams that brought themselves back to life. that's what I'd have done if I were a decepticon. What does he do? he looks at the busted/stasis locked autobots who were in the same condition as them, laying on the same floor they were, next to the same machinery that revived the decepticons and goes "naaaaahh they're totally dead." and even tells Starscream to stop firing at the ship cause they're SO not coming back and all.
CAUTION is a good offensive too Megatwit.


And on a completely(not really) different note, the writers really needed to make up their minds about the water thing.
EpisodeA: Lalala we're swimming in autobot form this is cool, wheeeee
EpisodeB: OMFG decepticons pushed us into a pool of water! ZOMG THE RUST
EpisodeC: Hey there's something in that water over there, lets go swim to it and check it out YEAAAAH
